How to care for your products

Cold Process Soap. Hot Process Soap. Pre-made soap bases

Store your soaps in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. When using your soap, be sure to allow your soap to dry in between uses.

DO NOT allow soap to sit in water. Allow your soap to get plenty of fresh air between uses. The drier it gets, the longer it will last.

Handcrafted soaps contain natural glycerin which is a humectant. This natural ingredient separates handcrafted soaps from commercial soaps because glycerin attracts moisture. So a plastic or stainless steel soap dish is recommended.

All natural soaps have a shelf life and we recommend that you use your soap bar within one year of purchase. All natural soaps are best during its first six months. After that, the soap will still do its job of keeping you clean, but the scent may fade.

Caution: As with any soap, keep it out of your eyes or it will sting (rinse thoroughly with plain water if this occurs), and discontinue using if irritation develops. Be sure to check the ingredients if you have allergies. Be aware that some soaps have ingredients that may bother sensitive skin (cinnamon, citrus, mint, etc.), and that exfoliants can be scratchy. Soap is slippery when wet, so take care not to step on a wet bar while in the shower. Although the soaps smell really good please do not eat them.

Sugar Scrubs

Keep your scrub in an airtight container away from water. The most important tip is to keep the lid on the jar as much as possible. This will help stave off the carrier oil going rancid. Once the oil has gone rancid, you'll be able to smell the difference in your scrub.

Scrubs are good for up to 6 months from manufacture date. To prolong the shelf life you can store the scrub in the fridge.
